Location: Position is based in Austin, Texas

The Director – Technical Records, will play a critical role in the day-to-day functions performed by the Technical Records Team. The primary responsibility of this role will be to ensure the integrity of the technical records associated with ACS assets.  The role will require the candidate to interact effectively with other functional areas of the company in a dynamic and fast paced environment.  Based on level of experience, this role may include management of technical records resources internally and externally.

Core responsibilities

  • Direct both internal and external staff and consultants in records review activities associated with asset acquisition, leasing, and exchange in accordance with ACS practices and industry best-practices;
  • Assist the sales and marketing teams with technical records related requests and inquiries;
  • Review, organize, and evaluate aircraft and engine records for accuracy and completeness and coordinate the same through the use of both internal and external resources;
  • Research and verify compliance of airworthiness directives and service bulletins;
  • Generate life limited parts summaries, including creation of back to birth trace files for life limited parts;
  • Contact operators and/or OEM's for missing documentation or records corrections as required;
  • Communicate with customers/sellers/operators as required regarding records questions and concerns; and
  • Other duties or special projects as assigned from time to time at the discretion of the Chief Technical Officer.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of aviation technical records experience related to core responsibilities herein
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
