Chief Executive Officer, Chief Investment Officer
Jason Barany, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of ACS, brings over twenty years experience in aviation leasing and trading. Since founding the company in 2010, Mr. Barany quickly grew ACS into a global leasing and trading platform. Prior to founding ACS, he served as Executive Vice President at AeroTurbine, a wholly-owned subsidiary of AerCap (NYSE:AER), where he was responsible for the trading and leasing platforms and also led all asset acquisition activities. Prior to this, he served as VP of Programs at AAR Corp (NYSE:AIR) where he was responsible for developing integrated supply chain programs. Mr. Barany currently serves on the Dell Children’s Medical Center Foundation Board of Trustees. He received a B.A. degree in Political Science from Michigan State University and resides in Austin, Texas with his wife and two daughters.
Chief Financial Officer
Stephen Hearne brings over twenty years of financial experience to the organization. Mr. Hearne's responsibilities include evaluating acquisition opportunities, leading the capital raising efforts, global structuring, tax, accounting, and managing the administrative functions of the organization. Prior to joining ACS in 2011, he held various senior-level financial, management, and strategy positions for companies across multiple industries. Most recently, he served as VP of Finance for DMX, Inc. (sold to Mood Media) where he led the treasury, FP&A, and the financial strategy of the company. Prior to that he held leadership positions in the Finance and Marketing groups of Activant Solutions, Inc. (sold to Epicor). Mr. Hearne received his M.B.A from Baylor University and a B.B.A. degree in Accounting from Texas Christian University. He currently resides in Austin, Texas with his wife and three children.
Chief Technical Officer
Erik Deutsch brings over twenty years of technical aviation experience. Mr. Deutsch oversees all technical management of assets, acquisition analysis, technical deal strategy, lease portfolio management, and the lease delivery and redelivery processes. Prior to joining ACS in 2013, he served as Manager of Technical Operations at Bank of China Aviation where he managed all technical operations of a customer subset fleet. Before Bank of China, he was VP of Technical Management at Dubai Aerospace Enterprise where he functioned as the head of powerplant. Previous roles also included time as Director of Engine Management at AAR Corp (NYSE:AIR) where he managed AAR's Part 145 repair station. Mr. Deutsch received his FAA Airframe and Powerplant License from Lewis University and currently resides in Austin, Texas with his wife.
Managing Director and EVP of Asset Management
Managing Director and EVP of Asset Management of Aero Capital Solutions (ACS Aero Management Ltd) has a strong background in organizational leadership, strategy, business development, finance, manufacturing and operation, Daniel brings over twenty years of aviation experience, including major roles in providing engine and aircraft aftermarket support for commercial operators worldwide. Prior to joining ACS, Daniel was Chief Commercial Officer at AJW Aviation, the world's largest independent aircraft component support provider headquartered in UK and was responsible for global sales, commercial activities, product development, and the key component and engine service divisions. Daniel joined the AJW Group after 18 years at MTU Aero Engines (MTX.DE), having held progressively more senior management and executive positions in the world's largest independent engine MRO. This included roles as the VP and Chief Commercial Officer of MTU's North American division, as well as VP Global Business Development. His career has enabled him to live in 6 countries and work with airlines and governments in over 70 countries worldwide. . Daniel is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and holds an MBA from Queen's University.
Managing Director of Investor Relations and Chief Compliance Officer
Managing Director of Investor Relations and Chief Compliance Officer of Aero Capital Solutions, Inc., has over 18 years of successful multi-stage private equity structuring and fund formation experience. Prior to ACS he was CEO of Covert Capital, an investment firm and feeder fund GP with a number of large single family offices. Before Covert Capital, Larry was CEO of Energy Hunter, an energy investment firm and affiliate of NYSE:MHR. Mr. Covert was also CCO of FINRA registered broker dealer Energy Hunter Securities and has a deep understanding of the unique challenges critical to success in securities related firms. Larry has directly raised over $660MM in private equity capital within some of the largest single and multi-family offices in the US. Mr. Covert was a member of the Advisory Council of the Institute of Molecular Medicine at the University of Texas, is a partner in Light House Resources, and is Advisor to The Chertoff Group. Larry earned his BA in Psychology from the University of Alabama, his MBA from Rollins College as Class Officer with international study, and has completed Executive Education at Harvard Business School focused on private equity and corporate governance. He currently holds FINRA licenses 7, 63, and 24. Mr. Covert's charitable time is committed to the Ronald McDonald House Charities, Steiner Serves, and he resides in Austin, Texas with his wife and three children.
